Learning to listen to the intersection of the physical, energetic, and spiritual

Ingrid Suess-Harkleroad, founder of Seattle Intuitive, smiling.

While pursuing an art degree at Arizona State University, I began to make sense of my lifelong energetic, psychic, and spiritual experiences. The artwork I created was the result of sorting out my own experiences with energy, the spirit body, the unseen but felt; mapping how energy moves in, out, and around our body. I was asking the questions, “Where does our physical body touch the spirit or the soul? Is it deep inside or far outside our physical body?” The answers…yes, yes, yes to everything and so much more!

After graduating, I began studying energetic systems and anatomy of the body while living in Bangkok, Thailand. After many stress relieving Thai massages and gazing at ancient Thai medicine drawings of energy movement in the body, I was intrigued enough to begin taking classes. This experience, in addition to energetic & spiritual experiences while traveling in various countries, provided a bridge between ancient practices and what I had been trying to understand through my art making. It all came together and led me to learning various healing modalities.

My practice has spanned 20 years, working in spa settings, chair massage, integrative medical practices, injury treatment, and private practice. I have studied with several academic and spiritual teachers who were loving, kind and generous in teaching me. I have trained in acupuncture, earned Shiatsu certification and massage license, and studied Kung Fu, meditation, Kundalini Breathwork, inner dialogue facilitation, clairvoyant and medium abilities, shamanic techniques, Acutonics Sound Healing, and Massage Cupping Therapy.

Ingrid’s healing philosophy

My philosophy of healing is rooted in the belief that true wellness is an integrated harmony of the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and energetic selves. By honoring the interconnectedness of these five aspects, we can move beyond surface symptoms to uncover and address the root causes of discomfort.

I embrace the spirit of Kintsugi, viewing the "cracks" in our journey not as damage, but as sites of transformation. As Leonard Cohen wrote, "There is a crack in everything / That's how the light gets in." I believe our hardships and repairs do not diminish us; rather, they make us more resilient and beautiful. My goal is to help you acknowledge the beauty of imperfections, and celebrate the unique strength found in your own story of restoration.

There is a crack,
a crack in everything
That’s how the light

gets in
